15 years as the area MP & 5 years as Kenyas Prime minister, Mzee Raila Odinga watched from afar with folded arms as Kibra sanitation deteriorated. He never visited the area in good times but chose to hold his Home-Coming parties in Bondo lest for political expediency that took him to Kibra. A great thinker once observed how poverty can keep a people in captivity.
