15But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; 16having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed. 17For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil. 1 Peter 3:15-17 There are those who think that when we became a follower of the LORD Jesus Christ, life will be a bed of roses! Far from it. If anything it seems that life has become a battle. Why? Because when you accept Jesus as the LORD of your life, satan has lost a soldier in his army. He cannot have you back because we are promised: My Father, Who has given them (you and I) to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s Hand. I and the Father are One. John 10:27-30. We don’t leave the battle ground of life – we enter it full charge – but in a different army. The deceiver tells us lies that He has forgotten us but His very Name is God With Us! “So do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord, or ashamed of me his prisoner. But join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God, who has saved us and called us to a holy life-not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace.” 2 Timothy 1: 8-9 This is why we can come before Him in prayer – this is why we can now go directly to our source of strength and peace in times of trouble. But we should not forget to go to Him with our joys! Father we enter the Holy of Holies - We enter through the Blood of the Lamb. We want to worship You only. We have come to worship I AM. Let all that is evil about us fall away and let everything that You find to be good stay. You LORD alone are Good – we must recognize that. Bless us this day Father as we ask for Your guidance so that our lives will bring You Glory. LORD, our hearts ache for those around us – our brothers and sisters in Christ, our neighbors, our parents and siblings. The sin that took this perfect world away thousands of years ago has consistently grown and LORD there is no place in this creation for Alzheimer’s, bronchitis, cancer, diabetes, Ebola, fibromyalgia, gout, hepatitis, influenza, jaundice, kidney disease, lupus, meningitis, narcolepsy, pneumonia, Q Fever [Coxiella burnetii Infection], rubella, salmonella, tuberculosis, ulcers, vision impairment, whooping cough, xenotropic murine leukemia, yellow fever, zoster ……..There are bodies broken by sin the very thing that entered the world through a lie and disobedience – through doubt and distrust in our Creator. All that is wrong today can be found in that one act of disobedience so long ago. But You, Father, sent us the cure – His Name is Jesus and He alone is our salvation, our defense against all that comes at us each day. This day LORD we do as You have instructed - whatever (we) bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever (we) loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” Today LORD we bind all disease, all evil speak, all attacks against Your children and stand on Your Word that they will be bound in heaven. We give You glory Father because it is for You alone. We pray this in Jesus Name. Amen and Amen
