15th December Hebrews 13 verse 1 + 2: Keep on loving each other as brothers. Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it. These verses wouldnt leave me yesterday. I was thinking of Joseph & Mary on their journey to get their names registered and no where to stay. They were homeless! Nobody knew them or thought anything special about them, yet our Messiah was to be born that night, Saviour of the world! There are many, many homeless people today and the number is growing day by day. It does not matter why they have become homeless, what is more important is how they are treated. Hence the verses. I want to thank individuals/organisations at this special time, for the tireless work and love they show the homeless not just at Christmas but all the year around, not questioning whether they deserve to be helped by using their eyes, ears and actions, but looking at them the way Jesus would, from a heart of LOVE.
