15th March 5.00 p.m. The Oxford Klass English Cinema Club invites you to watch the film entitled Moneyball (2011). This film is presented by our School’s teacher Andrii Kurdaiev. The language of communication is only English! A manager of an unknown baseball team sets himself a practically unreal task – to promote his players, so that they will become famous, despite no financial support. Billy is ready to go really far in order to achieve what he wants. Not all of his decisions are approved by the surrounding people. Sometimes his way of thinking and acting is beyond any explanation. As his subordinates’ fate depends on his actions.. Will Billy Beane be able to stick to his principles and keep good relationships with the team? And will he become a man who changed everything? Watch it and find out yourselves. Film is based on real events. Moreover, our Cinema Club guests will be offered a language practice. Before the film starts, our teacher will explain unfamiliar and rarely used words that appear in the film, as well as different use cases and exercises on their memorization. After watching the film, everyone will be able to join a discussion with a film curator over a cup of tea in a cosy café. The language of communication is only English! Admission fee: 40 hryvnias Admission is free for pensioners. For the Oxford Klass English Language School students there is a 30% discount.
