Details: Early Warning Network: ewn.au QLD Fire Weather Warning for the Central West, Channel Country, Maranoa and Warrego and Darling Downs and Granite Belt forecast districts Issued at 4:13 pm EST on Thursday 13 February 2014. Weather Situation Hot north to northwesterly winds will lead to severe fire dangers in western parts of the Central West this afternoon and this evening. Hot, fresh and gusty north to northwesterly winds, ahead of an approaching trough are expected to result in Severe fire dangers over much of the Channel Country and Maranoa and Warrego districts on Friday. For the rest of Thursday 13 February: Severe Fire Danger in the following forecast district: Central West For Friday 14 February: Severe Fire Danger is forecast for the following forecast districts: Channel Country and Maranoa and Warrego The Rural Fire Service Queensland advises that fires may be unpredictable, uncontrollable and fast-moving. Very High Fire Danger is forecast for the following forecast district: Darling Downs and Granite Belt The Rural Fire Service Queensland advises you to: Check your bushfire survival plan - Now. Monitor the fire and weather situation in any way you can through ruralfire.qld.gov.au and bom.gov.au, television or radio. Call Triple Zero if you see a fire.
