16 years ago today Alyssa Jo had received her 1st heart transplant. What a blessed day that was. The doctors told us that if the heart would not have became available when it did. she probably would not have survived another half a day. A lot has happened since. Alyssa has had skin cancer on her back. abrasion (which she was the 2nd person they had done that on who had a heart transplant ) kidney transplant, HINI, coded twice in two years,(one of the code they did 2 1/2 hour CPR on her) she also had blood clots, compartment syndrome on her leg, foot drop, and during CPR one of the needles IV busted and got all over her skin (she now is in the process of skin grafting that area) She also had a received a 2nd heart transplant 1 year ago on June 27th. She now is living a wonderful life and recently got engaged to a wonderful guy Adam Salmi She has had so many near death experiences and always pulled through She is my miracle child and Thanks to all of those you had sent us your prayers and support during all these years And a special THANK YOU to BOTH family members who donated a heart to our daughter You had given us the best gift ever GOD BLESS and miracles really do happen
