16 years ago today I was 9 months pregnant. I went to eat Mexican wirh my aunt Bess Skipper Fowler and realized that I was having contractions. I went home and called my (then) husband, and we headed to the hospital. I waddled in to the hospital as a scared, barely 21 year old pregnant child...and I left as a confident, barely 21 year old mother. Swain and I did NOT have it easy, as when she was 9 months old, I found myself as a scared yet confident, 21 year old SINGLE mother. I did the best I could, and the best I know how. My baby will be 16 tomorrow and is a member of the National Honor Society, an honors student and an all around wonderful young lady. I am so proud of her in all that she does and I thank Heavenly Father for allowing me, a barely 21 year old child to raise his angel. How lucky am I?..... Happy Birthday to the first true love of my life, Swain Curtin.
