165 years ago at the Seneca Falls Convention, a group of men and women boldly proposed that women should be treated as equals in our government and at the ballot box. This convention helped spur the women’s rights movement and eventually, women’s suffrage. We’ve come a long ways since then, but there is more work to do. We need to continue working to make sure women receive equal pay for equal work and have the right to make their own health care choices.
