168 Morning Eph. 5:15, 16; Josh. 22:5; Col. 4:5, 6; 1 Thess. 5:22; Matt. 25:5, 6, 13; 2 Pet. 1:10; Luke 12:37 Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. “Only be very careful to observe the commandment and the law… to love the Lord your God, and to walk in all his ways and to keep his commandments and to cling to him and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.”—Conduct yourselves wisely toward outsiders, making the best use of the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.—Abstain from every form of evil. “As the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and slept. But at midnight there was a cry, ‘Here is the bridegroom! I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award me on that Day. 168
