17/10/13 - Lets hope and pray that Chairman Aslam Sethi (as he said on Geo TV last month) and the PCBs initiative and proposals filed with the ICC to partially lift the ban on Amir after 4 years, in 2014, in order for him to play in the First-Class (in Pakistan) matches and tournaments and to get ready for the World Cup 2015 in Aussie & Kiwi Land from 14 Feb. 2015! The young lad was brave and courageous enough to confess his guilt and serious misdemeanour immediately. And, at the tender and formative age of 19 years, one can make many errors without realising their far-reaching consequences. For Amir (now 22), the World was at his feat and he was possibly another Imran-Khan in the making, after the Great Khan - still the No. 1 ranking bowler on the ICCs All-Time World-Rankings (though, Steyn and Philander of Sth. Africa are the only currently-playing and ranked bowlers who can emulate this position in the foreseeable future) - and one of the greatest all-rounders, World Cricket has seen (1970-1992) - expressed deep disappointment, in 2010, and had predicted and expected great things from Amir when he arrived on the Intl. Stage at the age of 17 years) and I watched him in the Test & ODI Series Down-Under in 2008 on Sky Sports in St Albans)!!!
