17 August 1978: Robert K. Miller, 22-years-old, single and a soldier with the Royal Marines holding the rank of Corporal was serving with 4 Commando Royal Marines. He was from Cardiff. Cpl Miller was on foot patrol when he was killed by an IRA booby trap car bomb that had been detonated by radio. The explosion took place in the centre of the border town of Forkhill when the 4-man foot patrol was passing a parked car. Cpl Miller died instantly from multiple injuries that were caused by shrapnel. The other 3 members of the foot patrol were not seriously injured. LEST WE FORGET!
