17 Dec 2014: Today is our third anniversary of joining Facebook. The Grey Funnel Line has had a Twitter page for over four years and has accumulated followers on that account totalling 4,827. Here on Facebook, it has taken us three years to catch up, and overtake, our Twitter page and we now have 4.874 fans (although it is more than likely that some of our Facebook fans may also follow our Twitter account). Our Google+ page still has a long way to go though, with just 15 followers since we opened the account on 15th May this year. Thank you all for your continued support, it is very much appreciated. We will continue to bring together pictures, stories and links about the Royal Navy, the Royal Marines, the Royal Fleet Auxiliary, and the Sea Cadets – plus any other naval related items that may be of interest – throughout 2015. A very merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous new year to all of you - particularly those of you who may be on duty or on deployment and are away from family and friends - may you all have the very best of health and happiness over the coming year.
