17 Reasons, I will Vote to endorse #Ludwig6 as National Youth Organiser in Kumasi on Saturday. 1. He is a man of his words, he makes promises that he can deliver. His track record is enough evidence of his hard work for the NDC. 2. Ludwig is a humble guy. He has worked in party and government at various levels yet he is a very simple man and down to earth. He is not a proud man. 3. Ludwig is a deep thinker and he generates an idea that drives the youth wing. The first national youth summit in Ho in 2010 was his initiative, the first national TEIN conference in Winneba in 2011 was his initiative, the various capacity building programmes for the youth organisers was his initiative. For the first time he was able to supply means of transport for all 10 regional youth organisers, 30 20 deputy regional youth organisers and 275 constituency youth organisers. His next move is to extend the logistics to all deputy constituency youth organisers and even the branch youth organisers will have a basis means of transportation to facilitate their work at the grassroot. This is the mark of a good leader the NDC has. He must be retained. 4. Ludwig keeps his cool even if provoked. He is not distracted easily by people who oppose him. He rather spends time to convince them with sound arguments no wonder many volunteers have dedicated themselves to support his campaign across the constituencies going into this election. He is neither selective in his implementation of policy not vindictive. He is a leader we need in the NDC. 5. Ludwig was part of a small committee in 1993 that was commissioned by Hon. E.T Mensah, first national youth organiser of the NDC to write the proposal for the formation of a students’ wing of the party. That group was led by Professor Richard Bani of the University of Ghana. The proposal was accepted and the wing was named the TERTIARY EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS NETWORK (TEIN) of the NDC. TEIN was inaugurated in 1994 with just 3 branches. Today under his leadership, TEIN has grown from 64 in 2009 when Ludwig was a deputy national youth to over 124 branches and still counting. 6. Ludwig Hlodze, is a very resourceful leader of the NDC. He is able to network to raise resources to support activities of the youth wing at all levels in spite of the fact that the NDC Youth Wing has no budget from the mother party. It is only an experienced and well connected leader that can do this and it has been very helpful to the party as well. He must be retained to work for us. 7. Ludwig has led the NDC Youth Wing to contribute to victory in 2008 and in 2012. He has a lot of practical experience in party organisation, mobilization for votes and campaign strategizing. We need his experience, capabilities and leadership to help the President win the 2016 general elections. 8. To give meaning to the NDC’s attempt to raise young women to take up leadership roles in the party and in government , Ludwig has teamed up with the Friedrich Ebert Stifung (Ghana) a German Social Democratic Think Tank based in Accra, to organise annual training workshops for young female activists of the party. This is to enable the party identify, train and sustain many young intelligent and smart ladies to work for the party and to take up leadership roles in future. Ludwig is a visionary leader. 9. Ludwig is a Local Government expert with a second degree in Local Government Administration. He is able to use his knowledge acquired and his experience in the NDC to map out good strategies for party building in the NDC. We need a leader like this who understands grassroot mobilization and administration to continue to give that capacity and base to the NDC as a party for the grass roots. 10. Ludwig is not corrupt. He has worked at various levels of the party and in government and served President John Evans Atta Mills for 14 years until his untimely demise as his Personal Assistant. Ludwig dedicated his life to the NDC and for service and he has been well mentored by a man who many of have fond memories of. Ludwig is a peace-maker, a unifier and a progressive leader. 11. Ludwig is very approachable and very accessible. It is under his administration that the NDC Youth Wing has a website ndcyouth.org for the first time in the history of the party. The website was launched in 2011 by the General Secretary of the party and has since been a useful tool for education, publicity and communication and reference point by our members both home and abroad to update themselves of developments on the youth front. 12. Ludwig is a very decisive leader. He is firm and a team player. He believes in working with the structures of the party from the branches to constituencies to regional to the national. He believes the party could only be vibrant if the structures are strengthened and he has since been empowering youth organisers on the quiet for them to continue to work hard for the party to win elections. He is able to work effectively with all youth organisers and he is not selective in offering opportunities to young people in the party. 13. Ludwig is a gentleman. He has carried himself and discharged his duties very well with a high sense of responsibility, decency and integrity in speech, actions and attitude. He has projected a very good and publicly acceptable image of the NDC Youth Wing and succeeded in rebranding the youth wing from a position of an aggressive, violent tag to a party of young intellectuals and activities who are ready to serve their party. 14. Ludwig is very articulate and connects with his audience easily when he speaks on radio and on TV. He is able to communicate the salient issues without using language which is regarded as inciting, unethical or harsh. Ludwig reflects a youth organiser who is a good model for many to emulate. 15. Ludwig is currently Chairman of the Inter-Party Youth Committee of the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES). The committee is made up of all youth organisers of political parties who representation in parliament and has led various peace campaigns during the 2012 general elections. He is recognised and respected for his stance of non-aggression but responsible politicking among the rank and file of all political parties. He is able to bring many to the folds of the NDC. 16. Ludwig led to an over 100% expansion of TEIN Institutions since 2009. This is the mark of a hard working leader. He has also fought hard for the TEIN to have a pick up vehicle separately for the National TEIN Coordinator for the effective management of TEIN Institutions. 17. Ludwig is the first NDC National Youth Organiser who has worked hard to ensure that many that TEIN executives, Constituency Youth Organisers, regional youth organises benefit from international training workshops that will expose them to political organisation around the world so they learn best practices and support the party to build upon its structures. This programme is distributed across the regions so there is a fair and balanced participation of youth organisers an party activists for international programmes. Ludwig is a great initiator and generator of ideas.
