170 years ago British government introduced a law that forbids private banks from creating money (coins and notes). Somehow no one has noticed this law doesnt apply to electronic money which got us to a point when 97% of money has been created by private banks. This Thursday, members of parliament will discuss whether its a good thing. For many of them it will be a huge surprise finding out how money is created, like it was for me when I found out. This could be a beginning of some huge and really positive change.
