171 [Psalm 91, 1 Chronicles 21-23] I dwell in the shelter of the Most High. I abide in the shadow of the Almighty. My refuge is the Lord. My fortress is the Lord. I trust in God Who delivers me from the snare of the trapper. I trust in God Who delivers me from deadly pestilence. I am covered with God’s pinions (security rods). I seek refuge under His wings. My shield and my bulwark is His faithfulness. I am not afraid of the terror by night. I am not afraid of the arrow that flies by day. I am not afraid of the pestilence that stalks in darkness. I am not afraid of the destruction that lays waste at noon. I will look on these things with my eyes and see the recompense of the wicked, for I have made the Lord my refuge. I have made the Most High my dwelling place. No evil will befall me. No plague will come near me. I am guarded by God’s angels which He has given charge concerning me. I love God, so I am delivered. I am set securely on high, for I know His name. I call upon God and I am answered. God is with me in trouble. I am rescued by God. I am honored by God. I am satisfied with a long life. I behold God’s salvation. I take responsibility for my actions (as David did). I prosper when I am careful to observe the statutes and ordinances of God. I am strong. I am courageous. I do not fear. I am not dismayed. I set my heart to seek the Lord my God. I set my soul to seek the Lord my God. - Affirmations of My Biblical Faith –
