17Yrs ago this Saturday, November 15,1997 I was 17yrs. Old and gave birth to a full term (37weeks) baby boy. His name is Augustine, we call him Augie...I only had about 9 1/2 months to get to know him....to fall in love with his little kicks....hiccups....and twirls....and to know the greatest joy gifted by God for the very first time in my life!!!! I was super young , but willing to meet the challenges of teen parenting head on!!!! Little did I know that my little baby boy had formed two true knots in his umbilical cord .....so when I went in for a check up and was sent to a hospital scared and confused .....begging God to let it be ok.....to let him be okay.....but knowing He was not! I chose to give birth naturally.....to hold my baby even though he had no air in his lungs....no beat to his heart....and no welcoming cry.....to kiss him goodbye....knowing he was already gone! This was not.my.plan....this was not.my.choice.....I wondered why????how???? Why did it happen.....how could the world keep turning when I was.paralyzed???? Then in the midst of my sorrow.....my mourning .....my.pain......God reminded me of His love....His care.....His grace ....the blessing of the last 9months and how.some.dont even get that gift!!!!! He reminded me that He is the best Father EVER and my baby was in the greatest hands of all!!!!! My heart had joy.....I had peace....even at 17 .....even in my hurt ....pain...and lonliness.....even.in one of the most impossibly hard times ....even in excruciating pain I was being held by my Savior!!!!! So.......... I PRAISE HIM TODAY......FOR EVERY DAY OF MY LIFE...THE BEST AND THE WORST......AND AS I PRAYED OVER THE YEARS GOD FULFILLED HIS PROMISE......OUT OF MY HURT AND PAIN HE GAVE ME PASSION FOR THE LITTLE ONES HE CREATED....HE HAS ALLOWED ME.TO.LOVE ON.YOUNG MOMMIES AND COMFORT THOSE WHO HAVE LOST......HE HAS DONE.THIS FOR HIS GLORY.....SO.AS I SHARE ONE OF MY.MOST PRECIOUS GIFTS AND PAINFUL EXPERIENCES ......I PRAISE HIM!!!!!!🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
