17th July 2013: Pacific Rim: Imagine Transformers versus Godzilla but without the scintillating plots and subtle character development of those films What utter drivel!!! I lost the will to live after about an hour, Julie fell asleep halfway through. No plot, no character development, just lots of giant monsters fighting lots of giant robots (for what seemed like hours) What puzzles me; there are actors who seem to be able to only pick excellent films that always show off their skills. People like Will Smith, Denzel Washington, Matt Damon. So why is it Idris Elba only seems to pick complete turkeys (Prometheus, Ghost Rider 2 and now Pacific Rim) he is much, much better than this tosh - as evidenced by Luther. My advice would be Get a better agent
