17th Ramdhan Wisaal Sayyeda Aisha Siddiqah RA “Umm - TopicsExpress

17th Ramdhan Wisaal Sayyeda Aisha Siddiqah RA “Umm Muuminun” (Mothers of the believers) Sayyeda Aisha (RA) Siddiqah was the daughter of Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (RA) and Umm Rooman (RA). Lady Sayyadah Aisha (RA) led a very simple, very pious life without comfort and luxury. Lady Sayyadah Aisha (RA married the Holy Prophet SAW and as his wife and close companion acquired from him knowledge and insight such as no woman has ever acquired. Lady Sayyadah Aisha (RA) served Sayyiduna Rasulullah SAW with utmost devotion and our beloved prophet SAW loved her very much. Gifted with tremendous intelligence, extraordinary wisdom, and formidable memory our mother Sayyadah Aisha (RA) was one of the Holy Prophets SAW most devoted pupils and followed his every action and example. She was skilled in medicine, poetry, mathematics, and was never too reserved or shy to ask questions; which in itself teaches us the importance of questioning that which we do not understand. As Prophet Muhammad SAW wife lady Sayyadah Aisha (RA) was an eyewitness to a number of revelations and had a clear idea of the circumstances in which they were revealed. Our mother lady Aisha (R.A) was very generous and kindhearted and would give out everything to the poor and needy even if it meant Lady Sayyadah Aisha (RA) not having anything to break her fast with. When Sayyiduna Rasulullah SAW left this world, lady Sayyadah Aisha (RA) was 25 years old and lived for another 48 years and saw the rule of all the four Khulafaa. Lady Sayyadah Aisha (RA) is remembered for her intelligence, intuition, her knowledge of Hadith and principles of religion, secrets of Islamic knowledge, Arabic literature, piety and Islamic Fiqh. Our mother Sayyadah Aisha (RA) was a great scholar and knew several thousand Ahadith by heart. Sayyiduna Rasulullah SAW himself used to teach her and answer her questions. The life of Lady Sayyadah Aisha (RA) is proof that a woman can be far more learned than men and that she can be the teacher of scholars and experts, that a woman can provide inspiration and leadership. Lady Sayyadah Aisha (RA) was a modest woman and her high level of Modesty (Haya’a) is in itself a marvel. As we all know, the Prophet (SAW) was buried in their house and hazrat Abu Bakr (RA) was also buried next to his beloved friend (SAW) after his death, Lady Aisha (R.A) said she used to enter the room with her normal clothing as it was her father and her husband that were buried there. After Umar bin khattab’s (RA) shahadat, he was buried next to Hazrat Abu Bakr (RA) as he had requested. Lady Sayyadah Aisha (RA) said after Hazrat Umar (RA) was buried there, she never entered that room except with her hijab. Lady Sayyadah Aisha (RA) was so modest that she was shy of a man that had died and was buried. Islamic scholars say that without Lady Sayyadah Aisha (RA) half of the Ilm-e-Hadith would have perished. Lady Sayyadah Aisha (RA) helped to preserve and protect the ways and behaviour of the holy Prophet Muhammad SAW, not only by embodying it herself, but also by teaching it to others. A great Scholar, Imam Zahri (RA), has said about her: Sayyadah Aisha (radi Allahu anhas) knowledge will surpass the knowledge of all the males and Mothers of the Faithful put together. Abu Musa al-Ashari (RA) once said, If we companions of the Messenger of Allah had any difficulty on a matter, we asked Aisha (RA) about it. Al-Ahnaf (RA) said, I have heard speeches of Abu Bakr and Umar, Uthman and Ali (RA) and the Khulafa up to this day, but I have not heard a speech more persuasive and more beautiful from the mouth of any person than from the mouth of Aisha (RA). Arwa Bin (RA) said,I did not find anyone more proficient than Aisha (RA) in the knowledge of the Quran, the Commandments of Halaal and Haram. That is why even senior companions of the Prophet used to consult Aisha (RA) in resolving intricate issues.
