Since making their official debut at the 2013 Tamworth Country Music Festival, Adam Eckersley Band (Adam Eckersley, Scott Greenaway, Benny Elliot, Dan Biederman) have firmly positioned themselves as the Australian band to watch in 2014. After touring with legendary group The Mavericks and being nominated for a Golden Guitar, Adam Eckersley Band are now gearing up for their debut release ‘The First Album’, on March 14th. Latest single “Give Her The World”, debuted on The Music Network Country Airplay Chart at #1 and secured a CMC Country Pick - an unheard of feat for a new band. After garnering a wealth of musical experience from touring endlessly in Australia and the US, Adam Eckersley (Vocals, Electric & Acoustic Guitar, Harp) began recording the album in late 2012, in producer Lindsay Rimess (Lee Kernaghan, The Madden Brothers, The McClymonts) Sydney studio. Songs then began to emerge during Australian co-writing sessions with songwriters such as Lindsay Rimes, Brooke McClymont (Adam’s wife), and Adam Eckersley Band bassist and session veteran Scotty Greenaway. The new album is also heaving with international heavyweight co-writes, from Adam’s time spent in Nashville and Atlanta; with the likes of Troy Johnson (Keith Urban, Dixie Chicks) and David Johnson (Blake Shelton). Once the album was completed, the band enlisted Nick Didia (Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young, The Black Crowes) to mix the record. “And what a nice guy,” endorses Eckersley. “A real champion. The whole band came along, and we just hung out in Byron Bay, and listened to the mixes.” What came out of Didia¹s speakers was “not just sound but energy”. The indisputable truth is this; Eckersley and his heavily bearded band of cohorts play and say what comes from their hearts and souls.
