18 Thank the LORD God, the God of Israel, who alone does miracles. 19 Thanks be to his glorious name forever. May the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen and amen! ~ PSALM 72:18-19 (GWT) ~ Great and wondrous, and miraculous things God has done! This is a psalm of high praise. Too often, my praise is not “high” enough. Many times, the reason for this is that my eyes are focused in the wrong way. I’m looking for the big and spectacular things, which need an answer from God—a touch of biblical proportion. But this isn’t where the common and profound miracles of the Creator are found. The greatest miracles—the things, which fuel my highest praise, are to be found in the ordinary workings of His hand in my life on the day-to-day and moment-by-moment scale. This is where my real faith is forged and tested, and this is where my praise is the highest.
