18 days post-op update. First of all, I wake up each morning in awe and so thankful for Carrie Ann Hawes Lyons selfless act of obedience to the call of the Holy Spirit. With each passing day, our families grow closer together. This teachers kidney is doing a wonderful job. It has surprised the doctors. I feel very good. Still building energy and stamina. Tomorrow I get the Stent out via cysto scope and get all the staples out. I also get my labs done and see the doctor. Based on what I was told last week, I expect to be released to drive.bthats a blessing as I am getting cabin fever. I have been overwhelmed by all the cards, texts, visits, meals. Thankful and appreciative of the concern and love from family and so many special friends. And just to show how much fluid the new kidney has pulled off and my diet has impacted, I am down 27 lbs.
