Good morning people who point people to a restorative God Psalm 51:12-13 (NIV) Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me. Then I will teach transgressors your ways, so that sinners will turn back to You. When we return to the joy of our salvation, we will once again start to talk about the goodness of God and point people to Christ. There is a time to confront wrong and speak the truth into situations. In fact, at times I think we shrink away from the truth side of the truth / grace coin too much. It’s time to speak the truth again. But I notice the intended destination in this passage as well as the path to it. The destination is that “sinners will turn back to You”. It’s not just about us feeling better or making sure someone knows what the Bible says – it’s about reconnecting people with the God Who loves them. It’s not just about a changed life but a reconnection with the Life-Changer! And the path to it is to talk about the goodness and greatness of God! Too often we focus only on the sin. We need to focus more on God Who is great at revealing and removing sin! It’s time for us to point people to God and reconnect them with Him.
