Being a legal owner of property is pretty cool,but his heart MEDITATION was on material riches and not on Christ. The best way to know if u are covetous is to ask yourself this question: What do my thoughts meditate on? The moment the HEART tilts towards the desire of having more of THINGS than MORE of JESUS,the subtle operation of covetousness is at work. Many of us have become like Achan. While Joshua and the Israelites were busy on advancing the course of God in the nations,Achans mind was clustered with how to gain material riches . Joshua7v20:I saw fifty pieces of silver and of gold,I COVETED it and took it. Covetousness led to the destruction of his soul and his entire family. The only time that scriptures implored us to become covetous is by coveting the best spiritual gifts(1cor12vs31) Are you coveting more of earthly things or spiritual operations in christ?
