What was the name of this all-India medical entrance test? – National Eligibility Entrance Test – NEET (In a 2-1 split verdict on the validity of NEET, a bench led by Chief Justice Altamas Kabir said that the Medical Council of India (MCI) and the Dental Council of India lacked legal authority to conduct admissions to MBBS, BDS and post-graduate courses. The court also said that NEET interfered with the rights of private, minority and linguistic institutions to admit students.
