19 sleeps until Christmas!!!! Tomorrow we begin our Advent sermon series. Our sermon tomorrow is partly about establishing the authenticity of the story but it will encompass so much more because in this series we will be exploring how can we enter into the story of Christmas. Not just teach about it and talk about it but what would it look like if we lived out the story of Christmas. What would it look like if we model the story prophetically by the way that we live our lives. Tomorrow evening we will be focusing on the plight of the children in Syria in conjunction with Tear Fund. We will have with us a guest speaker from Syria where we can listen ask questions and then pray for the 11 million people who are refugees as a result of this civil war. I would also like to share what we intend to do practically as we live out the story of Christmas to help those children this Advent season. Look forward to seeing you at both services.
