1978 I opened a Health Food Store in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Organic foods, a Smoothie bar with wheat grass juice, vitamins, herbs, cold foods and snacks. I sold Quinoa and Kale when it wasnt popular. I signed petitions for Organic farms every year, support etc. We had no Whole Foods then, we did have a local Co-op. I hosted a Live Interview Radio Talk show on alternative medicine, health foods, Metaphysical subjects and always promoted Organic. $52 Million is really pennies in terms of the war machine money we spend or any other budget. Really, if we want organic food, it is up to us to grow it, pay for it, sell it, promote and its not cheap one has to be making good money in order to afford organic foods. At least it is something..perhaps after all these years a little headway for organics.
