1979-80 – My 10th year as a teacher. I have two children in school, one in the kindergarten (Heidi) and one in the second grade (Heather) I am still in the same location at MMS, room 141. While a lot of my colleagues have changed rooms, grades, and subjects, I have steadily built my years of experience in the field of English and teaching it in the same classrtoom. I have had to augment my teaching salary by taking on added school responsibilities(an added English class – this meant that I had not prep period, as well as being the Technical Director/Stage Manager of Blesch Auditorium) I also played in a band on weekends. There have been occasions where I played for the weddings of former students as well as fellow teachers. Peterson, Scott W. Peterson, Ron Poquette, Lynn Thomsen, Sharon Trombley, Ken Wiering, Gaye Wright, Rob Tanguay 4th Hour – English 8 Jean Ault, Jim Bergfelt, Barry Berquist, Michelle Blake, Michelle Boyer, Connie Chaltry, Lisa Kluetz, Debbie Lemire, Tins Maas, Michelle Menard, Tim Mockus, Chris Nelson, Kent Paulos, Joel Roetzer, Scott Rolfs, Mike Vista -this small class became the perfect lab for a foray back into drama, as we spent a marking period and produced a play originally done back in 1975 called “They Run In Our Family”, a three-act about the athletically oriented Pennywinner Family and the various antics in which they become entangled. Almost everybody in the class was cast.
