1982 Chevy Van. 5 lug, but 3/4 ton. Has very strong 305 & 700R4 tranny, rally wheels, chrome bumpers. No dents/dings or rot. Interior excellent. I am second owner & bought with bad torque converter. Bought new & had back yard mechanic install. I drove it home & it ran fine. Next A.M. there was a BIG puddle of tranny fluid underneath & I traced it to the filler tube. Called the mechanic who promised to make it right but never heard from him again. I put 3 quarts of tranny fluid in & it again ran fine, but dumped the fluid again so I parked/forgot about it. Then I got it stuck & may have burned out reverse attempting to un-stick it (or may need 3 more quarts of fluid) The engine is worth close to my FIRM price $1K. It is on non op. I have over $1K in it & will continue using it for storage if offered less. Also i will NOT respond to offers of less than $1000, but am open to trades - needing a strong older small block Ford compatible in mid 60s ford Falcon/Fairlane/Mustang etc. (prefer 289 or 302) & nice 5 lug wheels for same. (tires not necessary but if good & a matched set will consider. Most engines are worth (to me) $300 - $500 possibility of more but doubtful. Wheels worth probably $200 set - again depending. May trade straight for wrecked/running Ford with good older small block & nice wheels/tires & bucket seats. Van is in Vallecito, near Parrots Ferry/hwy 4.
