1983 - March 17th, The New York Times reports; “ An Argentine group opposed to British rule of the Falkland Islands has claimed responsibility for letter bombs sent Tuesday and Wednesday to Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher and the European headquarters of the United States Navy. A man who said he represented the group told the Argentine press agency Diarios y Noticias that the group was also planning a series of attacks against British schools and institutions in Argentina in connection with the anniversary of the April 2, 1982, landing on the Falklands by Argentine troops.”
