1983 Volkswagen Type 25 Westfalia Camping camper van. Club Joker Model. 4 Berth LHD 1.9L Petrol. This vehicle was imported from the UK in April and has a full M.O.T history. We purchased to go travelling this summer and are now back in Guernsey so the van is no longer required. We purchased the van for £7,500.00 and have spent over £1,000.00 on repairs, improvements and extras. The van has a re-conditioned engine (prior to 2010). It does 25+ MPG. It is mechanically sound and runs very well. It has had a full service in April, a new fuel pump in May and a new water pump in August. It is pleasant and comfortable to drive long distance. The body work is in good condition for its age as it has been garaged for the majority of its life. There is some rust around the RH wheel arches and the bottom of the sliding door and this will need attention in time. The Interior has a Westfalia conversion with a rock n roll double bed, an upper deck (in the pop-up roof space) with a pull-out double bed, a pull-out dining table, a stainless steel sink with an electric pump water tap, a 3-way fridge and a 2-ring gas stove. There is loads of storage space. All the appliances are in full working order. The stove runs off LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas), which makes it very cheap to run. LPG is available from Doyle Motors in Guernsey. The fridge also runs off LPG as well as mains and leisure battery. There is a water storage tank for the sink, which holds an estimated 10 Litres. The van comes with a mains hook-up. The pop-up roof canvas has recently been renewed as has the foam in the upper deck bed. There is a tow bar with electrics which is currently used for carrying a bike rack. (The bike rack can be purchased as an optional extra for £200). The van also comes with a Porta-Loo and a full size drive-away tent, which attaches to the sliding-ddor side of the van. There is also a new waterproof luggage bag for the roof, which is currently used for storing the drive-away tent. All in all in this a great van and will give the right person a lot of pleasure. Asking price is £7,500 or the nearest offer.
