1984 was the last time India empowered a personality as the Prime Minister and gave him a single party majority to run the country. Since then, its been coalition governments running this country. The persona of a person has become so irrelevant that anyone can be appointed as the Prime Minister and later on make a back door entry in the Parliament by getting a Rajya Sabha seat. So much so that , parties have stopped projecting their prime ministerial candidates. Prime ministers are either being appointed or being selected on the basis of being the weakest available person. Gujral, Narasimha Rao,Deve Gowda,Manmohan Singh, none of them led their parties from the front and took their parties to the finish post. They not being mass leaders , were perfect candidates for being puppets in hands of a few. Such Prime Ministers were and will never be answerable to us ,but be loyal to only a handful who matter. India surely deserves better leaders... Real leaders , leaders with vision , grit and dare. Let us demand a Presidential type of election this time. Let us know our leader . BJP has done this nation a service by declaring their candidate. If no other candidature is put forward by any other party, let us give Modi ji a strong majority to lead us the way he envisions this nation should be led. If someone else also joins the race, let the best person win. Let We the people, choose For the people what Us the people deserve to be ruled by. Let the Prime Minister be elected by the people this time around.
