1986! 1986! Dr. Dean Edell did several interviews back then too. I know several intactivists have been hard at work trying to educate since the 70s or before. Its a little disheartening to realize the information has been out there all this time and its just beginning to be heard by the masses. Heck, Im just beginning to hear some of it and Ive been actively trying to get educated on the matter for years. Sometimes I get discouraged by how many people STILL dont know, in this day and age, with how long the information has been available; and how much information can be easily accessed online, and worse, the ones who get the information but still cling to the cultural cutting biases of America; but change is happening and more is coming. I will continue to be hopeful, and continue to share, even if most of my friends and family have either already heard me or tuned me out. You never know what exactly will change someones mind or make them stand up and fight back with us. If only I could find a ride out to San Diego next weekend. Oh well, at least I can shout from my desk and be there in spirit. ;)
