#1987 Hello people, I just want to give little advice here for juniors specialy last year guys. First, I would like to put my story here so that u can understand it better. I am from mechanical. When I was in last year I was very desperate to get placed in any company(there were many ppl like me). Id never seen what package/job profile/job location company is offering.I just attended all the aptis and interviews(fr which I was qualified). 75% of mech population was placed but my day was not arriving.I was getting more frustrated day by day.Nightmare of not getting placed and parents reactions was killing me. But the day came.I got placed.I was not able to pronounce the name of the company in which I was placed.I searched fr company details only when I got confirmation frm TnP(i knew what kind of company it is but didnt knw other details). I joined almost 2 yrs ago.I was not aware about what kind of job profile they would give me. Its chem industry and I am working here in Water Treatment Plant in operations(my job is to seet in plant fr 8 hrs and write down d stuff happend in my shift in Log Book). Frankly speaking I am pretty much overqualified fr this job. After two yrs(1yr8months to b exact) of job experience I am looking fr switch but ppl frm other companies denying me as I have pretty bad job experience being mech engineer. In other companies like mine, BSc ppl do d same job as I do so those companies ignore me as an Engineer. So now situation is like...i cant switch,I dont have future opportunities/growth in the current company, core mechanical companies neglect my CV bcoz of my experience.(and I cant leave this job in any case bcoz of my family responsibilities otherwise PG was an option) So let me summarise d whole story and let you know what exactly I want say... -Never Attend the Aptitude Test/Interview of any company without knowing about company and Job profile offered. -Ask your senior friends about job profiles who are working. -Dont b so desperate for placement otherwise ul end up like me. - Clear all d doubts during interview itself. At last I would like to ask my seniors(I knw its pretty late) what can I do to avoid further damage to my career? And what are d possible opportunities out there for job profile like mine. Thank you.
