1Co 10:23 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not. Growth in any Christian’s life can be hindered by the behavior of another Christian. We must develop guidelines and principles to govern us or we could hurt the weaker brother. Just as a river flows best when its banks are defined or a train travels safest when its tracks are clear so the older Christian as well as the younger Christian will grow & flow best when the Biblical guidelines are clarified and Biblical principles are held to. We know that our liberty (privilege & power) is not a license to sin and we know that our liberty has its limits. We can use our Christian Liberty to strengthen or we can use it to weaken, build up or tear down. Yes, we may have the liberty however; do we have the discipline to make a difference?
