1Jan2015 - Liams scans went well yesterday. It was a very full day, but a good one. We do not have the results, yet, but we go back tomorrow for an MRI and more lab work. Our sweet nurse noticed Liams affinity for Thomas the tank engine and found a new Thomas for Liam to play with while we waited and for him to take home after he was done. After waking up from the anesthesia, Liam did not want the apple juice he was offered, instead he moaned for coffee. When we got home, he was pleased to see his Oma had brought him Krispie Kreme donuts and he ate that as I brewed him a pumpkin spice coffee. Once mixed with half and half and milk, he chugged the first 8 oz. and asked for more. Next week, he will have tests done to check his heart as well as a physical and hearing test. If all looks good, we will sign the consent for the stem cell transplant. Liam and his siblings enjoyed an early New Years Eve countdown thanks to Netflix. I think we actually counted down about 8 times because they liked the music in the little video so much that they wanted to dance over and over. After we put the kids to sleep, we put in While You Were Sleeping, and apparently, I liked the title so much that it was all I needed to drift off to sleep. Freds been teasing me all day that the ending was different this time. We had a great family time today with an indoor picnic themed New Years Day. Liam ate multiple hot dogs that Uncle Steve Parks had grilled to perfection. The cousins had a great time playing together, too. Prayer Requests: 1) 1/2 anesthesia, MRI, and lab work 2) Tests next week 3) Readiness for Stem Cell Transplant (physical, spiritual, mental, emotional)
