1John1:8-10 8 If we say we have no sin [refusing to admit that we are sinners], we delude and lead ourselves astray, and the Truth [which the Gospel presents] is not in us [does not dwell in our hearts]. 9 If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just (true to His own nature and promises) and will forgive our sins [dismiss our lawlessness] and [continuously] cleanse us from all unrighteousness [everything not in conformity to His will in purpose, thought, and action]. 10 If we say (claim) we have not sinned, we contradict His Word and make Him out to be false and a liar, and His Word is not in us [the divine message of the Gospel is not in our hearts]. Though Jesus accepts us with all our junk, often times we also accept our junk (our shortcomings, fleshly indiscretions, stronghold, sin, etc.) as a “work in progress” and continue surrendering to the temptations thinking someday I will take control of this, that or the other… It is time to close the open doors to the enemy’s attack. It’s time to seek those areas in our life that allows Satan to sneak in. Are you battling physical problems? How about your soul (mind, will and emotion)? Are you being attacked spiritually? There are many reasons and ways the enemy attacks but you can do something about it. If you have any chinks in your armor or open doors for the enemy to enter… he will! It is time to look ourselves in the mirror and be really honest with ourselves. What areas in our life do we fall short? What areas do we surrender to our fleshly desires and what keeps us from the Charitoo (Greek: Blessings, Favor, Grace and Love) of God? Spend some time in prayer today and I mean really pray. Ask God where you fall short. Ask Him to reveal Himself to you today. This is a very humbling process but one you will not regret because I believe God is sitting and waiting on us to do what we must do to bind the enemy and unleash the Charitoo in our lives. Put your faith in God and put your faith in action. He will be with you each step of the way. You can be delivered, restored and made hole.
