1st July is celebrated ad DOCTORS DAY.But this turned out to be a black day in INDIAN MEDICAL history, as the KOLKATTA HIGH COURT,orders 17 high profile doctors to be prosecuted for criminal negligence. The case is ANURADHA SAHA CASE,a child psychologist, died due to OVER DOSE OF STEROIDS, in year1998. This case is unique in the manner that a compensation of 1 crore was offered to the her family, highest in any case in INDIA. This is the first time that these doctors will be tried for criminal conspiracy,in Indian medical history. Its high time that the doctors act responsibily, & are held accountable for their deeds.
