1st Period Report: Hawks - 0 & Senators - 2 Im so pissed right now, I cannot be trusted to give a fair examination of this period, or really even write coherently. I do know this, that only goaltender Raanta and Bollig have played close to their potential. In Raantas defense, it is tough to make saves when you defense hangs you out to drive. He went down injured, but got back up, stretched it out and stayed in the game. Raanta even made a spectacular BIG double save before the second goal was scored. As for Bollig, he showed nice team spirit by taking on an Ottawa bruiser in a spirited fight that was obviously an attempt to force some of that spirit into the rest of the team.....all to no avail Keys to the Game: The Hawks need to start actually playing like a team in the running for another year with Lord Stanleys Cup, instead of like a high school team. For the offense that means more shots, driving hard to the net, screening and having players there to pick-up the loose change. For the defense it means hitting, hitting and hitting, along with screening and doing a better job at NOT doing any more of those stupid turnovers. I still have some hope. In Coach Q We Trust.
