2 1/2 years ago I had a bowel resection and tumor removed to combat cancer, it has been a rollercoaster ride since then and Im confident in saying that due to everyone concerned, from consultants, hospital specialists, staff, family, friends and even strangers who wished me well, I am going to beat this...however, since then I have been involved with counselling and supporting others going through this most frightening experience, some have won, some havent... I want you all to join me in wishing an old friend Lance Gittins a successful operation this week with the same operation...he came to see me last week worried about it, I shared my experience with him and we cried, hugged and laughed, I know it helped him and I want you all to wish him and his family all the best for this week and the tough times that will follow, and hey..if your a friend of his, please call or visit when hes in recovery...my toughest times were the solitude, loneliness and dealing with the state of mind the follow up chemo leaves you in...hang in there friend..together we will win!
