2-13 Friends and Family, We have come to the part of the cycle - TopicsExpress

2-13 Friends and Family, We have come to the part of the cycle where we begin to talk about the mail cut-off date. For Charlie, Delta and Echo Companies - the mail cut-off date is Wednesday 8 October 2014. For Alpha, Bravo and Foxtrot - the mail cut-off date is Wednesday, 15 October 2014. It can take up to 2 weeks from the time you drop a letter/package in the mail for your Soldier to receive it at Fort Jackson and mail is NOT forwarded to AIT from 2-13. Hence, the reason for the 2 week cut-off date is so that all mail is received by graduation. Your Soldiers can continue to send you mail right up to and including graduation day though. This is always a bittersweet time because on the one hand you can no longer send mail, but on the other hand that means your Soldiers are getting close to graduation!!! We encourage you to continue to send your Soldier mail up till the cut- off date! If you choose to send mail after the cut-off date and it has not arrived at 2-13 by the dates above, it will be returned to sender. With that said, we are CLOSER to graduation!!! You can make it!!!! From past cycles, some families recommend sending sealed dated letters that can be opened by your Soldier after mail has been cut-off. That way they still have something to open from home.
