2.5 Weeks to go good people till we make the selection for Chief and Council. We have lots of work to do and many people to talk with .. Many still have to be convinced to Vote and Why they need to vote. Many feel they shouldnt have to Vote because they havent received any help in the past or have had any access to any services.... Well This is the absolute time to convince Our People To Come Together And Finally Vote In Unity To Have Their Voices Heard... It Is Of Vital Importance That We All Vote In This Election, We Need To Take Direction From The People Finally, The Elders And Youth Need To Be Involved In The Planning Process As Well As The Financial Management Of The Nation. The People Need To See The Truth, They Need To See The History And Need To Help In Correcting It. We Also Need To Access As Many Training Initiatives For Our Youth,, Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing, Heavy Equipment, Truck Driving, Health Field Training, Fiscal Management Training.ETC.....What The Community Decide Should Be Accessed. Sport & Recreation Should Be Made Available Throughout The Year With A Proper Planning Process And Calendar Of Events. Proper Fundraising Must Be Done As Well. Outside Issues Need To Be Realized And Addressed, Tribal Council -DOTC,AMC, SCO And Other Organizations And How The Planning And Decisions Made Affect Our Community. Bi-Pole 3 -- Manitoba Hydro Project - 6 Billion Dollar How Does This Affect Us , Without Proper Consultation and Negotiation. Our Inherent And Treaty Rights--- Land Claims Why Have We Not Progressed In This Area, We Could Be Sitting On Millions and Millions Of Dollars.. Its Been Years Since We Tried , Time To Go After Whats Rightfully Ours... And The Critical Issues Of Housing ---Housing Shortage, Non Existent Housing Repairs, Political Decisions... We Shall Change All That In 2 Weeks... We Will Bring Back Housing And Repair Houses Before Winter... Post Secondary Education--- Again We Will Clean Up This Program And Bring Back Equality For All. Evaluate Who Is Being Funded And Why. How Long And How Many Times, All This needs To Be Made Public... These Are Just Some Of The Issues We Need To Tackle Together. But Education, Empowerment And Economic Development Will Take Our Reserve Out Of Debt... We Can Do This Good People Of Sandy Bay,, Come Together And Lets Do This Together Once And For All !!!!!!
