2 “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. 3 “You shall have no other gods before[a] me. 4 “You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 6 but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.... Wow, thats a very interesting first two commandments isnt it!? So riddle me this: God says you shall have no other gods... Yet we as a society worship the state as your god, do you not? You may not realize how you prop the government up as a false ideal so let me explain. A maximum of law is that one only has authority over that which he creates. So, If God created all men, then NO man has superior authority over another man unless, A) he can claim to exist ABOVE God. B) he claims to BE God. C) he somehow exist BETWEEN you and God. OR D) he has a signed document BY GOD HIMSELF, giving him superior authority over you, a creation of God! So it stands to reason that if you view the man made laws of the state to have authority over you, and you believe it to be IMMORAL to break the rules and laws of the state, even if they do no harm to others, then you MUST BELIEVE THE STATE TO BE SUPERIOR TO YOU! Right!? If you believe the state is superior to you then do you not place it between you and God, or place it above God!?!? See my point!? The fact is, you worship the state as if it were GOD! You bow to its every demand. You pay its taxes to fight illegal and unjust wars. You obey every command of its policy enforcers. You beg for its grace when you appear in the states courts. You ask the state for permission to act and engage in lawful activity. You pay the state so that you can live peacefully. And worse yet, you believe this evil is necessary to live in a civilized society. So to all you Christians out there, can you honestly advocate for government and claim to actively seek the will of God, and strive for submission and obedience to your creator, and also worship another master? (Which btw God warns against governments in Samuel.) THE STATE IS YOUR FALSE IDEAL. GOD IS A JEALOUS GOD.
