2 Kings 18:3-7 He (Hezekiah) did what was right in the sight of the Lord just as his ancestor David had done. He removed the high places, broke down the pillars, and cut down the sacred pole. He broke in pieces the bronze serpent that Moses had made, for until those days the people of Israel had made offerings to it; it was called Nehushtan. He trusted in the Lord the God of Israel; so that there was no one like him among all the kings of Judah after him, or among those who were before him. For he held fast to the Lord; he did not depart from following him but kept the commandments that the Lord commanded Moses. The Lord was with him; wherever he went, he prospered. Lord, precious Savior, our King. Help us pull down the idols in our own lives and hearts- those places that are not fully surrendered to you. Fill us with you to overflowing- so that your light and love might flow out of us and bless all those we meet today. All for your glory Lord, for your Name alone. Oh Lord, at the end of our days, let it be said of us that we walked with you- we worshiped you- no one captured our heart like you. So many things try to distract us- help us to hold fast to you and to seek you in all things- moment by moment- today. To remember that you strengthen and empower us for every good work- when we ask, when we seek. May our hearts be tender and malleable in your hands. Through your precious Son I pray, Amen.
