2 Minutes Business Article Title: The Reading Business Man “With or without mouth, everything communicates, but only the inquisitive ears listens, and only the inquisitive mind understands.” ~ Paulvan Simply because a lot of people have tried so severally to make reading a habit, but have failed, they have given up on themselves and dont regard reading as one of their hobbies. I have met people who dont read much but are very intelligent. The problem is, their intelligence is not fully tapped as they obviously have the potential to do better at the one thing they have chosen to settle with, and even have the tendencies to be versatile at a few more things and be great at them too. Their only limitation is their lack of zeal to develop a very voracious reading habit - and this can be a major lid on a great destiny or business. The truth is, most small business owners I know rarely read or dont read at all. They always feel they can use any convenient reading time to make extra money. What they dont know however, or refused to believe is, they can make so much money that can turn a small business into a big one if they would just read. Talking about reading, there are different helpful reading methods. Every business person who wants to profitably stay in the game must learn the one that works for them. And, in my candid opinion, more than learning a reading approach that works for you, you must learn what I call Soft and Hard reading. Soft Reading: Reading of words(both spoken and mimed words), reading of signs(both inscribed and described signs), and reading of languages(body languages and languages you dont understand). We can refer to all these as Subvocalisation, which helps your mind to make sense of what you see, sense or hear and even remember it long after. Your mind can do amazing things if you develop it.
