2 SAMUEL Chap. 22 – TERESA’S EASY RENDITION 26 To the loyal, You’re loyal. To the blameless, You show Yourself blameless. 27 To the clean, You’re clean, To the crooked, You’re as silly. 28 You save the humble. But Your eyes are against the haughty, so You humble them. 29 You’re my lamp, O Jehovah, And it’s You, Jehovah, who brightens my darkness. 30 For You I can chase bandits. By my God I can climb a wall. 31 The way of God is perfect. The word of Jehovah is tested. And He’s a shield to those who trust Him. 32 Is there God besides Jehovah? And who’s rock besides our God? 33 God is my strong refuge. He helps me to become perfect. 34 He makes my feet like those of the deer, and keep me safe on high places. 35 He trains my hands for war, and my arms to bend a bronze bow. . 36 You give me your shield of salvation, and Your humility makes me great. 37 You make my every step safe, and for my ankles not to slip. 38 I’ll chase my enemies and defeat them, and I shall not return until they’re all wiped out. 39 I shall wipe them out and break them to pieces, so that they fall at my feet and cannot rise again. 40 You make me strong for the battle. You make those who rebel against me fall under me. 41 You give me the neck of my enemies. I shall silence those who hate me very much. 42 They cry for help, but no one saves them. Even to Jehovah, yet He doesn’t answer. 43 I shall crush them as fine as dust. I shall pulverize them like mud in the streets. I shall trample on them. 44 You save me from faultfinders. You establish me to be the head of nations. A people whom I didn’t know shall serve me. 45 Foreigners submit to me. Their ears are eager to hear me. 46 Foreigners fade away, And they come out trembling from their hideouts. 47 Jehovah lives! Blessed be my Rock! May God, the Rock of my salvation, be glorified! 48 God is my Avenger, The One who brings down people under me. 49 The One taking me from my enemies, and lifting me up above those who rise against me. 50 That’s why I thank You, O Jehovah, amidst nations! I sing praises to Your name! 51 The One who gives great salvation for His king, and grace to His anointed one, to David and to His seed for all time to come. End of Chapter 22
