2 Timothy 2:11-13 is a beautiful affirmation that we can trust in Gods promise. If we die with Him, we will also live with Him. If you are willing to pay the price and die to yourself to follow Jesus, you gain eternal life. Pretty simple. If we endure, we will also reign with Him. Following Christ means you will face everything from spiritual warfare and persecution to struggles with sin and temptation. But, it is worth it to endure it all because we will have eternal life in the end. We will share in Christs reign (Romans 8:17). Christ endured the same things we are now and because He endured it all obediently, He was glorified (Hebrews 5:8-10, Philippians 2:6-11). Because He overcame it all and He lives in us, we have hope that we can overcome as well. John 16:33 promises us we will have trouble in life, but to take heart in the fact that Jesus overcame it all.
