2)..@ Victorial Island when it was Ist demolished in 1985.ORIGIN OF D NEW NAME MOSAFEFEJO COMMUNITY>Mosafejo used to be a place where group of hunters meet to share their prey{bush meat} building small huts to serve as living tents while on hunting expedition.D fishermen later came to join them & frm these people they learnt d art of fishing as a profession & after each catch,they load same in boats to Ebute Elefun passing thru d stream near Obalende to d other side thru Sangojimi,Olukotun,ItaAlagbon,Onijigi,Oyinbo Oniyo of baba Imoru alakoto towards d sea of Kuramo on their way to Igbosere & Itirin thru d laggon.During this period,d name Mosafejo came up frm. their progenitor because of d government workers he called OBA NI NKI O otherwise known as d TAX POLICE [Oniwe ori] who used to pursue & disturb them in their bid to evade d tax collectors..Because their progenitor hated getting involved in police case,,he used to advise them to pay up their tax & avoid police case-SAFEJO,so d others nicknamed him baba Mosafejo So, u were either -ode-oke hunters of bushmeat or learning to become ode-odootherwise known as fishermen.While d incumbent baales father Pa Liasu went on goldsmith work outside d domain,he was always acting as d baale on his behalf.PAST HEAD OF D COMMUNITY> Pa Liasu as un4tunately,his jnr. brother Lamidi died early b4 him & after d death of Pa Liasu,d people started moving out of d place 4 other communities leaving d youths in town until d whole MAROKO COMMUNITY including Mosafejo was demolished leaving them destabilised.Series of petitions were written until 2004 when d government of Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu d then Excecutive Governor of Lagos State looked into d casefile & allocated them plots of land in d resettlement scheme of which theyll 4ever be grateful.As @ d time of our visit,d baale & d community were trying to rebuild a modern town. 4further additional/subtractive in4mations call our lines >08132625262 or 08075757474 KEEP A DATE !
