2 arrested for shoplifting: Sheriff John Root is reporting that Laurel Sheriff’s Deputy Larry Parrott along with Deputy Milton Storm arrested two individuals on Saturday night January 3, 2015 at approximately 9:15 PM. The arrests occurred at Walmart near Corbin in southern Laurel County after Walmarts loss prevention team along with Sheriffs deputies detained two subjects that had allegedly shoplifted items. Deputies conducted an investigation learning that the male subject had allegedly concealed items on his person while the female subject allegedly concealed items in her purse. Both subjects then went to a self checkout lane and under rang and bagged several items without paying for them. Deputies arrested Christian Dalton age 18 and Sarah Jackson age 24 both of Corbin Manor Apartments, Corbin both charged with theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting and both were lodged in the Laurel County detention Center.
