2 weeks ago i did a thing. It was cool! I did the South Coast Track. Flew into Melaleuca and hiked out to Cockle Creek. The most physically challenging thing ive ever done. My poor body haha. Lived on in 6 days what id normally eat in 2. Dehydrated food never tasted better. Day 2 was 29km Day 6 was 26km Mud, tree roots, rocks, hills, logs, bushes, rivers, there were alot of things to tackle. My mind was the biggest thing to tackle. Had a 13kg pack on my back the whole time, only a few hundred metres did i fail with that, and i was given a hand. Damn feet lol. The Ironbound Range Mountain knocked me out soon as i got to the top, mind blowing views even tho my legs were on fire. The beaches were amazing, biggest waves ive seen. The sunsets took my breathe. I rowed a boat to cross a lake. The tourists were friendly and i noticed had very expensive gear haha, i wore my joggers the whole time and used a stick as a pole when i needed, what i used, worked ok for me. Wish i had taken a Go Pro. The water i drank was brown but never got sick. Germ phobia gone! Bathed in anything i could. Didnt brush my hair the whole time!!! Gave up my phobia of snakes. I fell, i swore a little, but i didnt stop. Just one foot in front of the other i remember saying some days. Had to remember to look up. That view... Had no idea what my body could do, i thought i knew, but its capabilities astounded me. The scenery made you think, the silence made you decisive. definately came away a little different than before i left. There were times i was on another planet, maybe under estimated my water, the final 2 hrs i had to talk non stop to make it to cockle. The poor listener haha! Pizza never tasted so good the night we got back in haha! It was a last minute decision but im stoked i went in with an open mind and came out with an even wider perspective on life stuff. 118km in 6 days Very lucky, very thankful and grateful to be taken, bit proud, we live in an amazing place! If you ever get the opportunity, do it, the photos will never tell the real story for me :-)
