2 weeks out from a show is not the time to push limit poundages. - TopicsExpress

2 weeks out from a show is not the time to push limit poundages. High forces combined with high levels of accumulated fatigue can needlessly enhance injury risk. Thus, some creativity is required to continue to present a stimulus during this time. One way to do this is by slowing down the eccentric portion of a lift in order to accumulate metabolites and enhance eccentrically-mediated muscle damage, both of which are hypertrophic stimuli. This form of training will never replace straight weight, but is a viable way to train at times such as this. Cause Ill be damned if I do leg extensions...you feel me? (Oh and this is a BIG PR for me... my best 2 weeks ago was 385 for 4 sets of 8...) https://youtube/watch?v=hnRNQfWKAwU&feature=youtu.be
